LEE ROE

personal injury lawyer

Roe Law specializes in personal injury. Our main area of focus is motor vehicle accidents.

Lee is originally from the Edmonton area, having grown up just outside of the town of Gibbons. He moved to Scotland in the mid 1980’s where he attended Firrhill High. He returned to Edmonton in 1986 and started attending the University of Alberta where he graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors of Commerce degree. He stayed at the U of A until 1993 when he graduated from the Faculty of Law.

Lee articled with a small Edmonton firm before moving to Peace River where his practice was quite varied including everything from criminal defence work, federal prosecutions, wills and estates and civil litigation. In 1999 he returned to Edmonton and joined a local personal injury firm, where he stayed for 13 years and handled a variety of personal injury claims ranging from slips and falls, dog bites, assaults, motor vehicle accidents and fatality claims. During this period Lee travelled on a weekly basis between Edmonton and Calgary, operating out of offices in both cities.

Unfortunately Lee became quite ill towards the end of 2010. While he was able to keep working for his clients, his health continued to decline to the point where he had to be hospitalized in December 2011. Lee underwent a successful heart transplant operation and would spend the next year recovering his health.

In February, 2013 Lee joined another local firm where he continued his practice of law with a focus on personal injury litigation arising from motor vehicle accidents. After just over two years with this new firm Lee decided that it was time to strike out on his own and Roe Law was born.

This was not the end of Lee’s health issues. The toll on his kidney’s caused by his heart issues and the effect that his medications had left Lee suffering from kidney failure in 2017 that progressively became worse. In September 2018 Lee started home dialysis while he waited for a kidney transplant. On May 22nd  2019 he underwent a successful transplant with his younger sister, Shari, being the donor. Once again the transplant was successful and Lee has returned to helping accident injury victims with their claims.

Lee knows from personal experience just how devastating an injury or illness can be on you and your loved ones. Roe Law is available to help you through your claim, taking the stress of dealing with the Insurance Company away from you and letting you concentrate on recovering your health.
